What we do

We Come To You Repair Or Replace On The Spot

Mobile tyre repair means exactly what it says: we come to wherever your car is. There's no need to drive on a flat and risk destroying a rim, and no need to wait for a recovery truck to drag your car to a garage.

Our technician assesses the damage at your location. Where a repair is safe and legal — damage in the central tread area, not the sidewall — we carry out a permanent repair right there. Where the tyre needs replacing, we carry a stock of common sizes and fit one on the spot.

Permanent BS AU 159 compliant puncture repairs — not plug-only
We carry common tyre sizes in budget, mid-range and premium
Wheel balanced after every repair or replacement
Old tyre taken away and properly recycled
Honest advice — we only recommend replacement when it's genuinely needed

Repair vs replace

Can Your Puncture Be Repaired?

Not every puncture can be fixed safely — here's how we decide, and when a replacement is the only safe option.

We can repair it when…
The damage is in the central tread area (the repairable zone)
The hole is 6mm or smaller in diameter
The tyre has not been driven on flat (no sidewall collapse)
There is enough tread depth remaining above the 1.6mm legal limit
The tyre has no other damage — cuts, bulges or previous repairs in the same area
We recommend replacement when…
The damage is in the sidewall or shoulder — these cannot be safely repaired
The hole is larger than 6mm
The tyre has been driven on flat and the sidewall is damaged
Tread depth is at or below the 1.6mm legal minimum
The tyre has been repaired in the same area before

Not sure? We'll assess it for free

Send us a photo of the damage on WhatsApp and we'll give you an honest opinion before we even arrive. If the tyre can be repaired, we'll repair it — it's the cheaper and faster option. If it can't, we'll tell you why and quote for a replacement.

When to call us

Puncture Or Slow Leak? Call Us Before You Drive

Even a slow leak can deflate to dangerous levels quickly. Driving on an under-inflated or flat tyre generates heat in the sidewall and can cause sudden tyre failure — and it turns a £50 repair into a £200+ replacement.

Your tyre pressure warning light has come on
You can feel the car pulling to one side
You've picked up a nail, screw or other object in the tread
You can see a cut, bulge or visible damage on the tyre
You have a flat tyre and no usable spare
Your tyre sealant kit has already been used (kits are single-use)

How it works

From Your Call To Back On The Road

Four steps from the moment you contact us to driving away.

01

Call or WhatsApp Us

Give us your registration, postcode or location and a quick description of the damage. A photo helps — WhatsApp it across and we can advise before we arrive.

02

We Come To You

We head straight to your location — home, work, car park or roadside. We aim for same-day slots and prioritise drivers who are stuck and can't move.

03

Assess & Fix On The Spot

We inspect the damage, tell you honestly whether a repair or replacement is the right call, and carry out the work immediately — no waiting around for parts.

04

Balanced & Ready To Go

Every repair or replacement includes a wheel balance. We take the old tyre away, confirm tyre pressures are correct and you're free to drive.

What we fix

Types Of Tyre Damage We Deal With

From a simple nail to a blowout, here's what we handle at the roadside.

01

Nail or Screw In Tread

The most common puncture. If the object is still in the tyre and the hole is 6mm or under in the central tread, a permanent repair is almost always possible. Often the cheapest fix.

02

Slow Leak / Valve Fault

Sometimes the problem is a faulty or damaged valve stem rather than the tyre itself. We check and replace valves as part of every callout — a new valve is included in the price.

03

Blowout or Sidewall Damage

Sidewall damage can't be safely repaired under BS AU 159. We'll confirm the damage on the spot and, if a replacement is needed, fit one from our van stock and dispose of the old tyre.

04

Driven Flat

If you've driven on a flat, the sidewall may be destroyed even if the visible damage looks minor. We'll assess the internal structure and advise — if in doubt, we'll always tell you to replace.

05

Sealant Kit Already Used

Foam sealant kits are single-use and make a proper repair impossible — the sealant contaminates the inner liner. We remove the sealant, assess the damage and repair or replace as needed.

06

Kerb Damage & Bulges

A bulge in the sidewall means the inner cord structure is broken. This is an MOT failure and a blowout risk — we replace it straight away and quote you before we start.

I had 4 aftermarket TPMS sensors programmed that had been fitted by another garage who failed to programme them. I received knowledgeable and professional service for a fair price. A sound experience. Relieved i can now put my car through it's MOT. Thanks.

Took my car in on a Saturday morning to have a slow puncture repair at a different garage in Farnborough. Found that the alloy had a crack. Phoned around to get a repair which was difficult on a Saturday. G4 in Guildford agreed to repair the same day. Goid service and sensible price too.

These guys are great,I live locally had had no idea they were there. I drove straight in and tyres were replaced within minutes. I went in for 1 tyre, he didn't pressure me but advised me the other rear tyre would soon need replacing and looking at it myself,he wasn't wrong-so I got both tyres changed. Friendly, professional and very fast. I will definitely use them again.

--Jul2026--- Once again, a brilliant experience provided by G4 Tyre. The services (from Kam and Raza) were second to none (so much so that I am making this edit). The price was incredibly competitive. This is where I now recommend family and friends to go, as I know they will always be well looked after and honestly. ---Aug2025--- Had a great experience with G Force Tyres in Guildford (Jacobs Well to be precise), who were really helpful, honest, and courteous, and went out of their way to help source the two competitively priced Continental tyres I needed. They were fitted professionally in under half an hour. So when you need new tyre(s), then a place which has genuinely great customer service and is willing to go out of their way to help is G Force Tyres.

WhatsApp photo assessment

Send Us A Photo Before We Arrive

A quick photo of the damage sent via WhatsApp saves everyone time. Before we even set off, we can tell you whether the tyre looks repairable or whether a replacement is more likely — so we arrive with the right stock on the van and no surprises.

We can spot sidewall damage, bulges and object-in-tread from a photo
We'll give you an honest assessment before we quote
Saves a wasted visit if the tyre size we need isn't on the van
No obligation — the photo is free advice
Takes 30 seconds and can save you hours of waiting

Photo or no photo, call us on 01483678121 and we'll help either way.

What to photograph

The object in the tyre (nail, screw, etc.) if still visible
The full sidewall — both inner and outer if accessible
The tread area around the damage
The tyre sidewall markings (size and speed rating)

Tip: Take photos in daylight or with your phone torch — a clear photo in good light tells us far more than a blurry one.

G4 vs breakdown cover

Why Call G4 Instead Of Your Breakdown Cover?

Breakdown cover sounds reassuring — until you actually need it for a tyre. Here's how we compare.

AA / RAC Breakdown Cover

Average wait time 45–90 minutes in Surrey
Patrol may only fit a spare or inflate the tyre temporarily
If they recover your car, you still need a garage to fit a new tyre
Tyre replacement is often not included in standard cover
Annual membership cost on top of any call-out charges

G4 Mobile Tyre Repair

Same-day response, typically faster than a breakdown patrol
We repair or fully replace the tyre on the spot — job done
No recovery truck, no garage visit, no second trip
Wheel balanced and tyre pressures checked before we leave
Pay per job — no annual fee or membership required

Already waiting for breakdown? You can cancel and call us — we're often quicker and cheaper.

Seasonal advice

How The Seasons Affect Your Tyres In Surrey

Temperature swings between Surrey winters and summers have a direct effect on your tyre pressure and condition. Here's what to watch for all year round.

△ Spring & Summer

Rising temperatures increase tyre pressure — for every 10°C increase, pressure rises by roughly 1–2 PSI. Over-inflated tyres have a smaller contact patch, wear faster in the centre and are more vulnerable to impact damage on potholes.

Check pressures on a cool tyre (not after driving)
Potholes are more common after winter — inspect tyres monthly
UV and heat accelerate sidewall ageing on older tyres

▽ Autumn & Winter

Cold temperatures drop tyre pressure — the same 10°C drop reduces pressure by 1–2 PSI. Under-inflated tyres in winter wear on the outer edges, reduce fuel efficiency and are more prone to sidewall damage and punctures.

Check and top up pressure as temperatures drop in October–November
Cold rubber is less flexible — sidewall cracks are more common
Road salt accelerates corrosion of alloy rims and valve stems

All-Season vs Winter Tyres

Standard summer tyres harden below 7°C, reducing grip significantly. All-season tyres maintain flexibility year-round and are a sensible choice for Surrey's mild but wet winters. We can supply and fit both — call for availability and prices.

Seasonal Pressure Schedule

Check your tyre pressures at least once a month and whenever the outside temperature changes by more than 10°C. Your correct pressures are on a sticker inside the driver's door frame or in the owner's manual — not on the tyre sidewall.

FAQ

Puncture Repair — Common Questions

How much does a mobile puncture repair cost?

A standard puncture repair is typically cheaper than a tyre replacement. Call 01483678121 or WhatsApp for a quote — we'll give you a price before we arrive. If we come out and find the tyre needs replacing instead, we'll quote for that separately before starting any work.

Can you repair a run-flat tyre?

Run-flat tyres that have been driven on while deflated — even for a short distance — cannot be safely repaired. The reinforced sidewall sustains internal damage that is invisible from the outside. Most manufacturers and tyre associations recommend replacing a run-flat that has been driven on flat.

How long does a mobile tyre repair take?

A straightforward puncture repair typically takes around 20–30 minutes once we are with you. If the tyre needs replacing rather than repairing, allow up to 40 minutes to allow for balancing. The actual work time depends on vehicle type and wheel accessibility.

Do I need to be with the car?

Not always. If the car is parked on a driveway or in a car park and we can access the affected wheel plus the locking nut key (if fitted), we can carry out the work without you standing next to it. Just let us know when you book.

Can you repair a puncture at the roadside?

Yes — as long as the vehicle is in a safe position, such as a lay-by, side road or car park. We cannot work in a live traffic lane or on a motorway hard shoulder where it is not safe to do so. If you're on a motorway, get to a junction or services first if you can do so safely.

My foam sealant has already been used — can you still help?

Yes. We can remove the sealant, clean the inner liner and assess whether the tyre is repairable. Sealant kits often seal small holes temporarily but make a proper repair impossible — in many cases the tyre will need replacing. Let us know when you call so we come prepared.

What tyres do you carry for replacements?

We stock a range of the most common tyre sizes in budget, mid-range and premium brands. For less common sizes we may need to source the tyre first — call us with your registration and we'll confirm availability before heading out.

Do you cover the whole of Surrey?

Yes. We cover Surrey countywide from our base in Jacobs Well, Guildford, including Woking, Godalming, Farnham, Camberley, Leatherhead, Dorking, Epsom, Weybridge, Staines, Redhill and Reigate. Call 01483678121 if your location isn't listed above — we regularly cover areas beyond the towns shown.
